  I think they look good, but I just ignore the rivits.  :grinyes: The fact that it isn't clear coated is fine with me since I think it would look like plastic then. Plus, the oil from you hands will put a shine on it in a few hundred miles.  ;)

I like it !!   Much nicer looking. Probably look even better after it wears in. Is the wood unfinished? Oiled?

Wow, it is much thicker than I thought, I like it! I think I will get one when my car is WAY closer to being roadworthy.

It's thicker, to look like an original rim-blow, I suppose.   :burnout:

Correct. Three spoke horn switch bolts up and functions with no problems. Once you open the center hole as I explained the supplied Grant horn pad will fit as well. If you were installing on a nonMopar or a car without a crush can you would have to use the adapter install kit so might as well use their horn switch as well. I converted from a three spoke challenger wheel to the Grant 246 wooden tuff wheel. I only purchased the Grant wheel and opened up the stock switch as I covered above. Other than that it was a bolt on deal, no extra hardware or tricks needed.

Take wood filler putty and wood stain.  Mix the stain into the filler putty until it is the same color as the wheel.  Then fill in your rivet holes.  Let the wheel sit for a few days.  Put it out in the sun for a time.  This will cure and shrink the putty.  Dress with a fine grade of sandpaper.  You will probably need to start with a courser grain paper and move the very fine grade.  If you sand before the putty cures and shrinks you will end up with dents where the rivets are. I have not seen the wheel.  This is how we did damage repair to "natural" stained wood pianos.  Some of them cost $30,000 +.  It works if you do it right.

  Question, my '70 Challenger has a rim blow, 3 spoke and only a round centre cap. I have tried to remove the cap by turning it but it only turns a few degrees, when asking a few friends they tell me it is screwed on from behind, impossible.

   How does this centre cap come off, do I have to exert more force??? Don't want to damage it as none available here in Aussie.

It should just pull off. There are clips/prongs holding it in your horn switch.

I'm sorry, I had a brain cramp there and though a rimblow cap was like the standard woodgrain cap on these cars. I really do think the rimblow cap is screwed on. Here is my research...
