72 Chall 422 Stroker EV2 Backyard Special**
« on: July 31, 2007 - 08:34:14 PM »
And most of it landed on my car.

In the on-going battle I finally convinced the BS guys that they don't need me going there every other day. :roflsmiley:

Maybe I only got a week left.

Maybe a month, year.  Who knows.

All I know, once it is wet sanded and buffed she is coming home..

Thanks guys, I will definately take more pics as progress moves along.  They still need to paint the hood, tail panel, and header assy.  But, at least something was done....

Terrible pics but it is finally home.  I had to leave the hood there for a minor flaw in the paint and they have to spray the mirrors as well.

That's the good news, the bas***ds broke my drivers door window.......

Tom

Are you as upset as your son about it???   :roflsmiley:

Just kidding, too bad that happened.  I cringe whenever I have to have one of my cars or anything serviced by someone else other than myself.  People just don't care about other people's stuff!  :stomp:  I'm kind of jaded.  Don't trust anyone now....  :sly:

The car does look sweet though!!!

Super Blue, it does look like he is upset huh, he was making faces at the camera wearing safety glasses :screwy: LOL

Yeah it really stinks about the glass but I have seen that new glass is available so that is a final option.  I am trying to get them to admit to it, they are saying it was broken before I sent it there...... There were a few other things as well, but I am cutting my losses with them and waiting to get my hood and grill back before I raise too much of a stink.

Here are some better pictures from tonight, I started tinkering with the rear end.

Finished up the back end tonight, I had a 3YO and 4YO holding the bumper up for me.  Would have been a sight to see.  Their mother would have killed me if she saw that.LOL

I did use lots of masking tape to protect edges.  A couple of jack stands helped as well.

Man the rear window trim buffed out nice, but was a PITA to install.

The bumper is from Year One, the guards are the original ones untill I have them plated.

I did put a Repro Gas Cap on as well, it looks good but feels different(Loose).

I put the trunk weatherstrip in as well, and the lid had to be adjusted again afterwards.

I wasn't ready for the last one but it was leaking pretty bad, so now I got to find a new core.

Tom

Maybe this thread should be moved out of here.  Kind of evolved on my end.
