Thanks you guys.

Today was a so-so day.  I worked most of the day and don't feel like too much got done...

I installed my new Dash Cap, went without drama.  Fits OK for a driver.

I started putting misc dash trim back in and moldings along the roofline.  Also the rear deck panel cover majiggy.

The Door Gaskets went in pretty easy, the parts were from Soff-seal.  The end seals were from YO.

Pulled down my Seats, these are from Ebay for 250 bucks, they fit and look pretty good.  This was the first time I recovered anything and I think they came out pretty good.  Sorry for tooting my own horn but the better half doesn't particularly like it when I'm in the garage all day!

Looking good there.  It feels great to be able to do your own work.  And it is cheaper too.  But you wonder if the pros would have looked any different.   All that counts is your satisifaction.

Thanks guys,

I got my Heater Core replacement in the mail today, I think I will tackle that this morning.  I pulled out my carpet as well, so I may toss that in if I'm felling ambitious...

Got the drivers glass to do too.  Man still alot of work to do.

Well, since my hood and grill are awol, I started on the interior.  Went pretty good, I got the Foil insulation, carpet, seats(ebay covers 250 bucks) and rear panels installed.  Seatbelts and console as well.

I replaced the broken glass, greasy dirty mess that was.  Some of the parts were missing from the break, but with a little backyard mechanic got it done.  I used some inner tube from a flat on my bicycle as the gasket on the rollers as my stuff was long gone.  I also used this on the outer guides with some contact cement and the glass seems nice and tight.

Swaped the Ignition key cylinder, tricky but the FSM came up big, plus a few topics on the board lately helped as well.

I cleaned up and installed my heater box as well.  It is unbelievable what you find in there....Profelactic(sp), thankfully in the package!  Mostly leaves and sticks, some media from the blaster as well.  I used some foam insulation to seal up the trap doors as the original stuff was like dust.

Next up are the power door lock final connections and front door panels.  I need to pick up my lock retainers for the handles soon.

Got my homemade speaker box installed as well, put the trunk liner in too.

Funny that you say that.  I left my new ignition keys under the new carpet....  I remembered just before I bolted the front seats in. :bricks1:

Close call.

Man that is a sharp lookin' car!  Where did you get the hood from?  Did it fit pretty well and did the body lines match up?  Did it cost a lot of $$$?

I got it from the place everyone said not too, after I ordered it of course.  UP22.com.  I think that the hood was pretty good.  I have fiberglass fenders so I can't really tell how well it would fit with steel but I was able to line everything up before I sent it to the body shop.  Not perfect but presentable.

I got the latching one for 599.00  Shipping was killer though, like 150 bucks.  I'm in MA, I think they are in CA.

My old hood looked like this, so I had to do something...
