Thanks Jacksboys!

I did the deed today!

My new Engine leveler and Dolly worked out good.  Had to use a pry bar on the Engine/Transmission to pop the seal!  And it did POP!LOL

It is the Original Engine so I'm gonna store it for the future.

That's the Freeze Plug that was giving me a hard time.  Looks like a few others were ready to go as well.

Messed up the Inner Tie rod boot when taking out the Centerlink, is it replaceable?  Seems like it is installed at the factory. :banghead:

Anyways, i still got some cleaning and patching to do...

I got a 422" SB  Stroker being finished up now along with a new(rebuilt) Tranny and Converter coming too. :woohoo:

Just need to prep the bay and shoot it.  Don't know how that will go yet.  As I've never sprayed anything from an Automotive Gun before.  I'm gonna practice a bit on a test panel first with some cheap stuff from Autozone(Duplicolor).

I also need to look at the seals on the Power steering box as well.  The Steering Shaft seal too.

Looks like your making progress and the freeze plugs were ready to let loose and really leak. Painting is not real bad but practice and some advice will go along way. Take lots of pictures and keep us posted on your progress.

Thankfully for both of us, the leaky pain is over.  Now it's the fun pain!

Well, I got some Poly ones from a kit that I didn't use so I will use that.  As far as the Fork goes, one side came of easy, the other side(hence the torn boot) was not so easy.  I had to use a 3lb sledge and it may have made contact with my hand a couple of times OUCH..LOL  If you need them they are available at the dealer or your local parts store.  I just didn't know because it seemed to be molded in to the tie rod, not a slip fit like the outers.  but it should seal up OK.

Tom :drunk:

It's snowing here today and I can't move my Wife's car out so it's going to be tight in thwe garage today!

Well, Butt welding is not my cup of tea but it will be 1/2 under the battery tray and the rest is behind the Battery.LOL

It should look pretty good with a little filler.  I used some flat sheetmetal stock from home depot.  I formed it by Hammer and hand to get the roll on the edge.  There are a few funky angles to match, but all in all I'm happy.

My Wife was laughing at me in there.LOL
