Looks great Tom I wouldn’t change a thing …
But I have to ask,  :thinkerg:
Can you move the mufflers around to be in front of the axel so we can’t see it poking out from under the roll pan\ valance?  :dunno:
Or find a round muffler perhaps to fit up tight in there?

Just a thought …
Oh and where is the video of the burn out and donuts?  :burnout:

I knew that would come up.LOL  I was thinking of this exhaust as something to get the car moving for a while, I would eventually like to step some things up later when time and $$$ allows.  I am thinking of blacking out the muffs anyways with some High Heat Black.

I still wanna see the holeshot... But after the kickdown's properly in place...  :burnout:

You should see the jerrry rig I worked out for the KD.LOL  I got a cable on order for a 727, don't know if it will work on the 904.  So I got the linkage in there now.LOL  Seems like it gives proper actuation, won't know until I road test it.

ThAnks Greg, I'm looking forward to seeing your project progress.  Without this site I wouldn't have attempted even half of what I did.LOL  Now way I would have touched the steering box/coupler repair/Painting/Stripes/etc.  The resources/pictures have been invaluable to me.  I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed here.

Tom

Still got some stuff to do for sure, but I'll make itthrough the summer now.LOL  The headliner is sagging a bit, that really scares me....

Hi Tom,

Just saw the videos, sounds good!   :grinyes:

I wonder if you can temporarily put some short Autozone glasspacks in place of those mufflers with downspouts?  Would make it sound real mean and would hide the mufflers a bit!

I'm gonna stick with these for a while, they actually sound real good.

I went for a 45min cruise tonight, drove nice.  The roads were a bit rough on me though.LOL  Need an alignment, the wheel is off center now.  I guess from the steering box?

Anyways, plenty of tq on hand, rolling up the on-ramp 30mph to the freeway I gave it some juice and left 30' of rubber from both tires :burnout:  I backed off on it so I could get some traction.LOL

Tom

Got the hood on with the help of my wife.  I had marked the hinges with a scribe before I took them off a while back so pretty much lined up in 5-10 minutes.

I had to paint the hinges last night, because I had forgotten to prep them when I shot the bay in the winter.  I scratched more paint in the bay putting the hinges in than when I put the engine exhaust etc in... :banghead:  Nothing I can't touch up a bit though.LOL

I think I can use a Air grabber seal for this hood and Aircleaner set-up.  he A/Cnr is centered nicely in the scoop opening and the seal for the Airgrabber  mounts to the hood.

Tom

What say the masters? :dunno:

Maybe Hemiken has some  :picture: of the Airgrabber installed.

I might be able to use a carb spacer if needed, I sill got some clearance in there.

Hi Tom,

Sounds like you need more of a base plate from an A12 69 1/2 Super bee or Road runner buddy. :2thumbs:
