Best run was 13.43 @ 105.62 w/2.26 60' absolutely could not give it gas at the line.  I had a 2.91 60' when I tried.LOL  Worst run was 14.68 @ 104.06 but still beat the Mustang I ran by 7/10's and 9mph.LOL

Awesome time, the 904 is not long lived the shifts were very soft at the higher rpms.  I don't have a tach yet so i shifted by ear on my 2 better runs.  The other was a 13.81 @103.9 when the car got hot in the lanes.  I ran 4 times in the first hour and called it quits, quitting while ahead until the new trans is ready.  maybe with the 727 and a better converter along with some sticky tires will make a big difference.

A high stall converter with some sticky tires will make a huge difference.I ran 275/60-15 Hoosier quick time tires on my Grand National and had great luck with them. They are D.O.T. legal and super sticky!   http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-275-60-15-HOOSIER-QUICK-TIME-DOT-TIRES_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247QQcategoryZ66473QQihZ002QQitemZ120205537530QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V

Thanks chuck, I might need shorter tires due to the 3.23's in there.  But something will come along.  I'm going to try and find something that someone doesn't need anymore.

Very nice times there, Tom!  Nice job!  Looks like you had a lot of fun!

Have you thought about changing out your rear axle gears for something steeper?  (I'm sure you have... )   A bit more pian in the butt than changing out tires but just a thought...  You trailered your car there right?  :clueless:  So highway won't be that much of an issue if you do a lot of local driving...  :dunno:

I only trailered it because it was the dragstrip.  I have done about 6-700 highway miles so far this summer.  The 3.23's have no traction i can't imagine something steeper.LOL

I usually am worse, but I had to drive 30miles home afterwards and the trans is fading fast so I kept it short but loud.   I love the sound under acceleration for sure, maybe thats why I'm burning tank after tank.LOL
