More then 3 times this week I have read posts on moparts about people really trying to join our club and can't get in. No confirmations of passwords to other types of comments.

Sometimes I have trouble myself logging on.

Anybody have any suggestions as how to help out?

I will make this post available to the other site for helpful suggestions.

Some of these people are vendors and good people with helpful info.

Since Ross and I have to hand approve each registration, it helps if the name of the ID was mopar related.  I try to google each email and userid that comes in.  Many look fine until I google them and they are shown on everyone's "reject" list for spam.  I'm sure, by sheer numbers, we reject some that are legit.  To be sure they get in...you can post my email and have them send me a note, and I will make sure they get their password and ID.  I don't want to leave anyone hanging and I'm sorry if some legitimate folks have been rejected.  But the spam that we get when we're not cautious is ridiculous....remember?  :22yikes:

I will let them see this post. One person is a friend of mine. His name is Greg. Usually goes by big money lewis. Him and his dad restore mopar radios.  Very good person and helpful in identifying radio close look alikes.  I am sure many here know of Greg and his father.  Thanks....ALAN

The first time I tried registering to CC.com was before I bought my 'Cuda (but had already found it.)  I tried to register using my name PSUViper, and I got an email that my application could not be accepted at this time.  I was sad...

But I came back.  :)

It's no wonder people are trying to join here. As much info as you could ever need without any sideways glances. Add quality people who dont play games, whats not to love?

I've had emails from at least 2 or 3 people asking for help to get in, asking if I could PM Admin. I know how Rev feels, you should see what you don't see, tonnes of "viagra100%" or "sexxxxybob" registrations. Like Rev, I always look for something car related if it's a dodgy name like the above and the email is just as iffy you're bound to disaprove the occasional genuine member. Don't know about this place but my forum gets around 20+ spam registrations per day....not sure why or who does it exactly, all I know is they have no life.  >:(

Yes, we get a ton of registrations a day, but only about 5% of them are legit.  For instance, this morning we have 6 members to be approved (this is after I cleaned the list out at midnight last night).  The members names are...

pnypwr
borasolit
dppcmfo
melangro
megahils
SmokinJoes

Out of this list, I see a couple who might be legit, now I'll go google them and see what I can find.  Surprised there is no Viagra people this morning...  :roflsmiley:
