The Challenger-Registry.com is updated !
« on: August 02, 2007 - 11:19:57 AM »
Hi everyone. The Challenger-Registry.com got a major update. In fact, everything is new and better. Please check it out.

I am transfering the old registry to the new one. Your current registry number stays the same, so does all your data. The only thing you have to do is, create a user-id and log-in. Then I can transfer your old registration to your user-id. After that, you can access your registry, make changes if you like, upload a photo..... I hope this makes sense. If something does not work, please email me. It might take up to August 15th, until all of the already registered Challengers are in the new system.

If you cannot wait, please create your user-id and simply register your Challenger again. Please remember, write your current Registration Number in the details-box, so I know I don't need to update your old registry anymore. This is the better and faster way.

JJ

Not bad mate, not bad at all. If I may, some constructive criticism. Not sure if you're done yet but you should organise the details/info on the car better. It's quite messy at present. Have the "option" then the stat next to it then a new line for the next, in most cases several items are all on the one line where as it should be like below.

Model: R/T
Year: 1970
Engine: 383ci
Transmission: A833 4-Speed
Exterior Color: Plum Crazy (FC7)
Interior Color: Black
#'s Matching: Yes:
Etc......

It makes it much easier to read, cleaner on the eye & the sites overall appearance better.
Also, try using a couple of different shades to break it up even more & make the important stuff stand out.

Another thing you may want to look at is decreasing your page resolution as it's quite wide at present. I have a 17" monitor and it's set at 1024 x 768pixels so your site must be set for around 1152 or 1280. If you can decrease it so it's below 1000 to suit 90% of all screen settings. Scroll bars on sites don't look too good. Apart from these and a lack of photos it looks good. These are just some friendly pointers and in no way shape or form am I "dissing" the site. Just, I could easily say: "AWESOME! Real nice!" but I'd be lying (to a point) and like to help out rather than say it "just" because it's the "right" thing to do.   :icon16:

NZ440R/T you are right, I was not ready with the site yesterday. And still not. Just cleaned up some of the code and the template was messy. Thanks for your input, we should have a beer together (why is everyone so far away...). You probably know how it is, there is so much to do on a website and everything takes so many hours, so I gave up yesterday night at 3.00 am. It looks much better this afternoon, I hope. So how is it on your 17" monitor ? Has someone a 15"monitor, if yes does it still look ok ?

Thanks to everyone for input and support. A few more days and nights and all cars from the old registry should be in there.

Spread the word..... this new site and server is powerful enough to handle all Challengers produced !

30Below, the Barracuda-Registry.com will be updated with the same software. I am not sure when I have time for that, maybe in 8 weeks or so.
I will post it here.

You're welcome mate, looks much better with the narrower resolution. Fits my screen perfectly and it will be fine with 90%+ of all monitors out there even the poky little 800w screens. Beer? Now you're talking!! Maybe you could put a bottle in the water and it will find it's way to me? Put: "For Carl" I'll go wait at the beach in November.

I just checked and I'm on the site!

It's really cool the database that JJ is setting up.  But it's only as good as the input he gets from the owners.

If you can, put in a picture of your car and also a little history is always nice or something in the comments section so your car doesn't just consist of a VIN #.

Just my  :2cents: .
