Now this is interesting. In one of JGaniesa's prior posts, he talks about how his favorite scene in 2f2f (Ricefest 2003) is when the Chally beats the ricer. Strange how fast peoples opinions can change. Also, as to his comments about safety, which would you rather have- crumple zones and airbags that inflate at 250mph (which you subtract your forward speed from to get the total force of impact: in a ricer, airbags are gonna hurt!) or American Iron, which is guaranteed not to crumple up into an unusable mess.

There both pretty even in my opinion, Japs, euros and brand X car's that use Airbags and crumple zones which is basically all modern cars are excellent for the safety of there driver BUT there car's will be a right off if it's a high speed crash or maybe a 25mph crash at the right angle.

Muscle on the other hand, won't crumble but bend or make one big dent, BUT all the energy go's straight to the passengers and can really do some damage.

Muscle = Car's OK - is the driver?
Japs = Car's a wreck but driver's safe.

Give me a Muscle car anyday, I'll take my chances - where gona meet God oneday so who cares.

I think it is sad that JGainesia labels anyone who has an opinion that is contrary to JGainesia's is "ignorant".  I wonder if JGainesia has posted the link to this thread on his/her import forum BB ?!

He classes it as "ignorant" I class and others would probably class it as, he doesn't know his facts or he says his opinion but won't listen to anyone elses  ::)

What he say is "right" and nothing else is correct.

I'd say 100% he has put a link to this site - obvisouly none of them have lifes  ;D

Jterp hit the nail on the head. Yes, it was derrogatory and unkind, but still true. Woulda printed it on to a shirt, but I don't know what the PC police at my school might do to me. "Anti-bias reeducation course", anyone?

The biggest difference I see between Muscle and Rice is how they were looked at by their peers, in their day.

Muscle:

The COPS tried to bust us.
Our parents tried to get us to slow down.
In general the public was afraid of the loud, jacked up, overpowered brutes.

Rice:

The COPS make money by writing tickets for excessive tint.
Their parents are happy cause their cars have "crumple zones".
In general the public points and laughs at the loud ( stereo only ) dropped, rear wing on a FWD, underpowered wimps.

I miss anything ?
