My car is back fresh from the broken sprag incedent. You think it might be happy, but once again some evil demon reared it's ugly head this morning. At any stop I was hearing an ugly sound from under the hood. It sounded like metal on metal. Me being me, I assume the worse, and figure a bearing in the water pump. I noticed RPM's didn't matter in how it sounded, although the exhaust sound drownded it when I got moving. I turned around and went back, while keeping an eye on the temp. gauge. When I got back, it was still making noises. With the engine running, I go to open the hood. As I bend down to open the latch, I am sure the sound is coming from behind the center part of the grill. Still thinking water pump here. I open the hood, only to see what I truely never have seen before. Somehow my radiator overflow hose, got out from it's cozy little home. It learned a lesson.
I'm not thinking water pump anymore.
