I had to get "creative" with just 1 3/4" primaries(meaning, beat with a hammer).  :pullinghair: With your engine though, I would suggest bigger, but good luck with that. I have Hedman's, but maybe TTI's would be kinder to you, but they cost a ton.  :money:

The 2 1/8 say they do not fit power steering.

Thanks for clearing that up.  I just wasnt sure.  Saw them in a magizine test not to long ago and didnt see it mention power steering.

definitely find someone with the headers you want and have them take pictures. I haven't had any hooker headers fit any combination without needing some "massaging". I have had 2 sets of 1 7/8 hooker competition headers, one set came with the car and were junk when I got it, I bought another set just to get the car running, spent about 3 hours modifying them so they wouldn't hit
1) the torsion bar on the driver's side (stock 383 t-bar) = heat and a large socket to make a "channel" for the t-bar to run through
2) the collector tube on the driver's side pointing right at the torsion bar crossmember, missing the "hump" cutout completely = lotsa heat and a come-a-long
3) clearance to put header bolts in = hammer
4) the steering column shaft (manual steering!) = heat and a large socket to make another "channel"

with all that, they lasted about 2500 miles before bottoming out and getting squashed, and my ride height wasn't that low.

Would suck to get ceramic ones then have to bash 'em with a hammer.

If you can cover the cost, I think the TTI ones would be the way to go

Sorry folks - but headers you cannot cheap out on. I had to buy TTI for my B low deck stroker with Indy EZ heads. They were the only ones that would fit. I even looked at Doug's Headers - real nice units but not for the angle plug heads. Heeelllllllooooooo Doug - probably 70% of heads now are angle plugs. These other guys are sure giving TTI business.

I dont advise buying coated headers if the engine hasnt been dyno'd (I think yours was, right Stroker?) because you will need to weak them to fit, and the break in time will kill the coating on most of them. The angle plug heads will need tweaking if for no other reason than to keep the plug wires in good shape, and to allow the plugs to be changed. It's funny. The difference between the MP straight plug heads and angle plug RPMs, and the TTi angle plug  head headers and cheapie headers, is about the same. I'd bet that's no mistake.
