Hopefully Neil willl find that to be a feasible future for him.  It'd be good for him to stay around North America and he'd be able to get the slightly warmer temps. here in the states. (Not to mention a way to get to see a lot of areas traveling all the time.)

Neil, have you ever tried a student visa?  Come to the US & enroll in a tech school.  Thats how my wife originally got to the US from Canada. :dunno:

I had a conversation some time back with some government type, can't remember exactly who, but CP's dilemma was on my mind so I ask," HOW?"  He brought up the student angle.....maybe you could enroll in MoparAl's Technical Institute of Higher Performance, Truck Stop, Pawn Shop & Cigarette Outlet.

The problem here is Neil would know FAR more than any instructor would about engines, or cars in general. I think it would be a sharade act if he went this way.   :dunno:

Pretty sad state of the Union when we allow pregnant wets to squeeze their babies out over here in our hospitals, on our tab, instantly gaining citizenship in the process, bums and drug runners hopping the fence to live off our hard earned middle class dollars with welfare, medical benefits that surpass ours for free, what a disgrace that we cannot find room for people who just want to make their own way in life while working to support themselves, willing to pay taxes instead of robbing the public coffers. It is enough to make a person sick  :faint:

Well, you know where he is now. And he has found an apartment too. He's a big boy and he knows he will not do another winter up in canada. He has plenty of offers to stay in the states to get his own gig going. IE work visa, fall in love with a southern bell, run like a gypsie,so he is ok. Time will tell the direction he goes. Till then  Neil, and keep us informed

It was 50 F in Neil's homeland today.  I think I will travel in his suitcase when he leaves.  Maybe I can make his lunches. :crying: I'm going to the big Red Deer Mopar show tomorrow so it better shape up.

I would not mind it if the weather was cool right now. It was 107 when I was driving yesterday, 10 minutes later it was 109 and I think it got even hotter  :pullinghair: The mild winters make up for the hot as hell summers though  :droolingbounce:

I have tried the student angle too , I need to be self supporting & cannot work while in school to support myself , just need a winning lotto ticket for that
as far as starting a business in the us I need a minimum $250,000 investment
If I had a degree in something I could get a work visa But i would be forced to leave the country if I quit working

Damn, thats harsh. We regularly see days in the 70's and even 80's in the middle of winter here. Dont get me wrong, it does freeze and snow, we even had a good snow one April but for the most part its a paradise in the winter, nice temps and NO BUGS!!!!!!!!!
