Project Bing
« on: August 11, 2007 - 02:10:37 PM »
Here is Project Bing.  It's a tribute to my cousin who gave me the car.  He purchased the car after he got back from Nam in 71.  He did a lot of street racing in Philly until he blew the 383.  I will post more pics later.

Walt

Here is the interior.

To answer your questions:

The car is original Plum Crazy with a white top.

I'm plannig to go original more than 90%.  I will upgrade the brakes, steering, suspinsion and stroke the 383.

The car sat for 17 yrs in my cousin's garage after he blew the engine racing a vett.  If you have ever been to Philly then you know that Philly has nothing but potholes.  He was racing the vett and hit a pothole which tore up his oil pan.  He continued racing the vett and won but lost his motor.  Just to let you know they were racing for pinks down along the the Delaware River.  He sold the vett to buy a house.

Will keep you updated,
Walt

Great story, and even a greater cousin.  The only thing a cousin of mine gave me, was a girls phone number.  :scared:

I happy to hear that you are making it a tribute to him.  :smilielol:
