I WATCHED THE VIDEO AGAIN THIS ARVO AND STARTED TO WONDER ...HAS BARRY NEWMAN EVER DONE AN INTERVIEW REGARDING THE FILM , I GOOGLED IT BUT DIDNT COME UP WITH ANYTHING. ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING?

Yes he has. I don't have a link though sorry but he has definitely sat down with the producer/director and talked about the movies and more specifically, the cars used during the film. It will be on the web somewhere though.

Last year, there was an interview with him in MPH magazine that coincided with a story on the Challenger concept.  I'll see if I can scan and post it.

  Like most of us here this is one movie I like watching over and over again. I have always wondered what Kowalskis first name is. There is a slight reference to it by one of the cops if i remember right but it doesnt say. I think I will have to pop the ole tape in and watch it again---then go for a ride in the car.   :bananasmi    :burnout:

The August 2006 issue of Motor Trend has an article about the new Challenger which also includes an interview with Barry Newman where he discusses Vanishing Point.  I have read the article but unfortunately don't have the magazine or I'd scan it.  I have also seen a couple of other interviews with him over the years where he talks about the movie.
