Need creative ways to get rid of a cursed transmission.
« on: August 12, 2007 - 07:40:09 AM »
After many attempts at rebiulding/repairing I have given up on my cursed transmission and have decided to take out any parts I know are good and basically blow up the rest.I do not want to use or sell the major parts/case as we have never figured out why it gave me all kinds of problems so I figure I may as well blow it up or something-any ideas?   :icon16:

After spending $2k and a lot of frustrating time and effort on it I coudn`t stand to look at it anymore so it needs to get blowed up which will be a lot more fun anyway!

The reason I ask is that when I had the trouble with the 904 in my cuda,it turned out to be that the earlier trans had a small governer passage(not enough fluid)was passing through.I switched to a 360 model 904 which had the larger passage and walla no more problems. But before that I wiped out a few second gear bands including a red band,a main pump and a brand new converter split.

What about freezing it with liquid nitrogen, and then hitting it with a sledge hammer.

It should shatter into a bunch of little pieces.   :jumping:
