    Hey, just wondering if any of our California guys have looked at this car or are somewhat close to it, I seen it listed on moparts with a new price of $30K and I'd like to know what its like...I've been itching for another car for a while.

    It's hard to believe someone hasn't taken the plunge at 30K.  :screwy: I hope it looks as good as it does in the pics, but I could do without the extra gauges.  :stirpot:

    That car was at a consignment place, I just called there and the car is no longer there, but I think the listing on Moparts is the actual owner, thats where its listed for $30K.

    If I do contact the owner i'd be interested in it at $30K. Just need someone to take a look at it, don't need another basket case car that I have to resell.   :banghead:

    I understand. At 30K, if this runs well and drives, you got something. I can't speak of hidden rust issues.  :misbehaving:

    The guy states it was converted to a 4spd and there is no fender tag...probably why the price is reasonable.

    I don't  remember seeing the car for sale at Moparts this month.
    The dash pad is out of a 71 or newer E-body.
    The dash looks like it might have a cap on it also.
    I would be curious to see how original the VIN tag and rivets look on the dash.
    Vinyl roof looks a litte wrinkled or rusted underneath.
    Brake and clutch pedals have chrome dress up trim on them but not the gas pedal?
    Obviously not a rally dash cluster which might or might not be correct.
    Without a build sheet or fender tag I would definitely check for the correct VIN sequence stampings on the radiator suport and cowl.
    30k sounds like a very good price but I would definitely want to see the car in person and check out all it's E body trouble spots and documentation. There are just enough questions on the car to have me wondering about it at that price. ???

    Yeah I noticed all those things as well Killerbee, the car is a 4 spd swap car, I noticed the dash too, its definately a car to see in person, just wondering if there was anyone close enough to check it out, it was on moparts last month, the owner who posted it goes by, blown340 over there

    I saw that car in may when it was at that place near Benicia. It definately has some "hidden rust" issues. 30k is probably about right for that car. It is a great driver but needs a far amount of work to be show. Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks 72Hemi...  :2thumbs:  Thats all I wanted to know, i'm not interested in a car with any issues, I think i'm gonna wait and get something right, or try to have one built eventually. No sence paying 30K for a car that isn't the exact color you want etc, and have to do a body job on it, might as well start with a solid shell.

    Blown340 has alwas been a straight shooter as far as I know.
    He stated in his ad the VIN matches the body stampings. :thumbsup:
    If the car is decent and only has west coast rust issues it's not too bad, a 12 second 440 powered real  'Cuda with Hemi 4 speed is a fairly desirable ride.
    If you pick it up in the 20-25k range it might be a real deal.
    I think he would answer your questions truthfully if you called him :2cents:
    Here's one of his previous Moparts post with a number of pictures of the 'Cuda.
     It looks to have been a medium green car, floors look good.

    The previous owner of this car owns the sublime challenger I am restoring now.  I don't know if he'd want involved thouugh.  I wish he would have traded me that car for the work!

    Hey Silverchally, if you don't think the guy would mind, maybe ask him his opinion of the car and PM me, if its a solid car I may be interested in it, i'm throwing around different options now, I want another car.  I know he put on a dash cap, the pedals are wrong and some other minor details, but i'm more concerned with bondo issues etc.

    I would be very interested in it at this price myself.  It does suck that is so far from both of us.   It's tough to buy one of these things through pictures.
