Charger police car...
« on: August 12, 2007 - 06:50:47 PM »
Kinda corny, but kinda cool watching a cop car (especially a charger) melting them down!  :burnout:  Wonder how he explained the excessive tire wear to the chief?

The mom of one of my daughters friends is a sheriff here and has a new charger.  She says she likes it and its fast, but whenever they try to spin them around in a hurry they have a delay taking off.  :dunno:  I checked it out one day but I didn't ask to drive it.  :burnout:

LOL, the corny-ness factor is pretty high.  Takes forever to get going white, but still pretty cool.   :2thumbs:

Being the job that I work, I get to talk with some of the S.O. Deputies, and one that was running transport to one of the local prisons said he had his up to 168 m.p.h. and ran out of road.... So what's the top end speed for them,  :dunno:. But they have the 5.7 Hemi's, and not the 6.1's.

I doubt 168 MPH :blah:But there was a state Trooper at the Woodburn OR. Drag's. He held his own for a while. No competition for the real HEMI's. But, he was a really fun guy. :clapping:They didn't have him compete against the super Big Block Mopar's. He Won several race's though but, Went down to a 340 Dart. It was funny 'cause the guy's last name driving the Dart was, "Stoner". :violin:

That was cool. A good friend has a 300 HEMI and it will roast the tires at will. By the way he is a Deputy Sheriff to!

Like I said, I cna't name any names, and I'm not gonna name a county, all I will say is somewhere in GA... The guy stated in front of me, and other officers, that he had it up to 168 m.p.h. and ran out of road. How long was this road he managed to get it up to, dun know. Can I see these cars doing that, yeah. He said about.. the only thing that has been done to them is computer work. If you reset the max speed that it can do, I can see that car hitting that speed. :burnout:
