Speed comes to mind, the snorting style. :lol2: Perhaps one is set for cut outs or similar.
That's my guess. Has to be a reason (one would imagine anyhow).

Hmmm, maybe if you look closer underneath it's not dual exhaust but quad exhaust

Just a few possibilities:

1.  Owners parentage.
2.  IQ ( or lack thereof )
3.  Couldn't afford pipes to connect to tips.
4.  Couldn't find tips his size.
5.  Cars is used to dry the track at the local strip.

If this car belongs to anyone on the board, I meant this in the kindest, politically correctest way.  :roflsmiley:

Those look like 4 in pipes, it might be hard to go from that to 2.5 in. to the tips.  Who knows maybe it is a big power diference.

He had to have the tips to fill the valance holes but wanted big exhaust. There is no way to bend tail pipes that big to get them to come back to the bumper.(they will kink when they go over the axle, plus there probably is not enough room) I would put a valance on it with no cut outs. :grinyes: That is the way I will put my exhaust on my chally.(but no tips or cut outs in the valance!) :grinno:

Ding ding ding ding!!  We have a winner!

That would have been the tasteful thing to do, I'm running a non-cutout valance with turndowns before the axle.

Maybe it was already painted, or he liked the tips, or he just didn't care that much when he HACKED UP someone else's restoration into a race car!!  Ha ha ha!!!
