I didn't have much time as I'm out of break time, but you all made it really tough this year!  All the cars look great, but it was the background & stance of the car that makes a nicely thought out photo.  I can't wait to be doing this with mine, but that'll be a while. :misbehaving:

Good looking cars this year.....I wish there were more photos with better car positions though.

Now that I have some more down time, I wanted to add that some of the photos would have been awesome had the tires been turned the appropriate way for that particular shot.  While I'm not so picky with grass (as long as it isn't covering the car), my final pick was hard because there were great cars but it all boiled down to how the car 'fit' the background.

Nice effort guys but without sounding like a prune, there were a lot of pretty horrible shots. Lots on grass and tires showing tread, messy backgrounds with "urban sprawl" the list goes on. Don't get me wrong, the cars were great but the photos on many were, ah, "not the best" (to put it nicely). I only voted for 2 to be honest. Hey, just telling it how I feel and of course in good terms, besides, no one likes "yes men".  ;) I didn't enter because I entered last year. Good luck!

I agree, I tried to keep clutter minimal.  Hope it helps.   ::)

Sure I'd like to be in the calendar, but if I dont, no big deal, there are some awesome cars to pick from.   :grinyes:

I agree with some of the other comments above,, but we are just for the most part amateurs parking our cars and taking
what we think is a nice photo. Good job to all. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

I agree 100% and what looks great when you first take the shot and what it looks like afterwards is a whole different world.

I had a couple of questionable situations and sbird's was one of them.  There is nothing stating there can't be a model in the picture...so technically it qualifies.  The other one is Triple Black Cuda's. He won the cover last year with a picture very similar to the one submitted, however, it is a different angle...technically, ok again.  This is a tough job!  :grinyes:

I was furiously looking for a picture from 1981 of me with what amounts to an afro laying across my fender.  Couldn't find it, but if I had would I qualify as a model?    :eek7:

WOW, ok so now that other people have said it, I must agree as well.  I didn't want to sound like a horses' a$$, but too many photos of "side" shots and it took away from the beauty of the car.  I know my pic isn't the best, but because it's been apart for the past 2 months, I couldn't get a good picture other than the one I had.  I think the photos would have been 100x harder if all the cars shown were taken from a different angle to show off their features (lines, color, wheels, etc).  Still, it was a tough one, to vote on.  Nice looking cars never-the-less!  :2thumbs:

Laura,

I wasn't pointing a finger at you. I just thought having a model in the pic might open up a can of worms in the future. Having models with even less clothing and such. I hope that doesn't happen.

On another note, I will truthfully say I am Mr. $ucky picture taker, and I really didn't even want to submit mine. But... here I am.   :eek7:

I know what you mean Mike.  It seems every year we add a new rule on the list.   :smilielol:  We'll address that one next year.  :chatting:
