Heya!

So I'm new to all this and sadly don't have any pics to post of my car/cars as I dont have anything yet.

Currently I'm looking to buy a Challenger or Cuda and would welcome any help/tips on a first time car.

I live in Pleasanton, CA if there is anyone in the area that wants to provide me with tips and whatnot for the area. Actually, if you live in the area it would be great if you could send me a message. I would like ot be able to talk with those around me and maybe meet some people to check out cars and whatnot.

Anyway, look forward to talking to everyone and hopefully getting a nice Mopar collection started!

Welcome to cc.com!     We see alot of cars for sale around here and I, for one, am always watching prices of our e-bodies and see alot of cars for sale.     But if I were you, I would be looking in local advertizing first as a california cars are usually pretty decent as long as they didn't spend too much time by the ocean.  I would also post something on the forum in the 'cars wanted' area with a price range and any other requirements as someone on the forum might have what you're looking for.  Hope you enjoy the site!

Ha I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this... I have seen the term E-Body used a lot but don't know what it means.. Does it just refer to the Challenger/Cuda body style or is it a fancy new term for a project car 

Would someone like to define it for me

Chrysler organized the body platforms by letter and e-body is the cuda and challenger platform.

Welcome to the site and I would be looking for a cuda or challenger from California as the dry weather made these cars last longer with out all the rust.
Check your local paper and car trader papers.

I might suggest going to some local car shows and see if you can spot any Challengers/Cudas there.  Might have to go to a Mopar show as E-bodies, atleast around here, are hard to come by.  It's cool you're in CA so the cars won't have as much rust.  Seeing them on the web is cool but seeing them inperson is where it's at.  These cars just look so cool next to other cars!

Ha so I just read it at work instead of in bed... wow... I realized the Challenger started doing bad after the compression changed but not that bad.. poor car heh

The compression change didn't come around until the '72 model year.  Don't know which engine your looking at but the 340s got bumped down to 8.5:1, 240 hp.
