Craigslist scams....
« on: August 17, 2007 - 09:14:42 PM »
Hey, just wondering if there are any phone scams on craigslist? I have been calling about a 70 AAR project car for the past 2 days and noone ever answers, just a women on a voicemail. I'm scared that everytime I call its a scammer charging my phone 10 bucks a call or something.  Is this possible, or are these people just not home?  :drunk:

I'd say just wait it out. If you want to be persistant to find that gem, try calling from a pay phone and leaving a contact number or email address or both!! Good luck. Keep us posted. I'd love to hear if you found a real gem out there. I still remember an AAR that was in my neck of the woods back in the day!! I haven't heard of anything like you mentioned!! :dunno:

Well, I want to get more info before I know if its a good deal or not, but its a complete AAR, looks to be red or orange with black interior and front rubber bumper, it looks 100% complete and says its a running driving car. $21K.

My  :2cents: is that it's either gone or it's a scam.  Sometimes when an item is gone the seller doesn't bother returning the calls or deleting the ad.  That looks like a complete car and for $21k I would sell my dog and my mother in law to get it.  Actually, I would just sell my mother in law for no good reason.....  :smilielol:  :roflsmiley:
