Wires from ignition box to where?
« on: August 20, 2007 - 12:56:23 PM »
I would like some help in figuring this one from the iginition box (Plug) out there are about 5 or 6 wires, can anyone tell me where each one goes to, since I have a blue with a (yellow or dirty white strip) wire going nowhere. It has been cut. I read some wiring diagrams but they do not show the ignition box.
Thank You All

Hi. The pic isn't the best so I'll try to describe it too.
Top left wire: Green - Not Used
Top right wire: BLACK/YEL - negative side of coil
Right side wire: BLUE/YEL - IGN #1 (I spliced it to my ballast's blue wire)
Bottom right wire: GREY/BLK - distributor plug
Bottom left wire: BROWN/WHT - distributor plug

This was for a 1970 small block, not sure if others are different.

If you have a 4 prong ballast resistor, this is the diagram.
