Thanks guys!
I like. It looks great hemi68charger.
Give us more details on how you accomplished this.
Sure, I basically just sanded down the woodgrain and primed, sanded again and painted with a satin balck spray bomb.
The shiny parts, i was going for a spun/brushed aluminum finish. I sanded those section with a red scuff pad, being sure to go in one direction for a uniform look. It took a little bit of work to get the brown paint off from around the guages, but well worth it I think.
Any other questions, just let me know.
Looking great.. Didn't think I would like straight black, but with the stainless accent and crisp lettering, it's nice....

Yeah I was not sure I woudl like the balck either, and figured I could repaint it if I did not, but I love it. I wish I had the money to resoter the gauge faces or the patience to put the stickers on them, but they seem to look ok.
what are you doing about the console & door panel woodgrain inserts.
The consloe I am going to paint black. The chrome on mine is crappy, so I am still working on how to get the same look around the edge. I may have to live with all black for now. No wood grain on the doors on a 74 Cuda, so no worries there.
I will post pics as I slowly move along!
