Fastening The Shoulder Strap
« on: August 22, 2007 - 09:55:01 AM »
Okay so this might sound a little ridiculous but I can't seem to figure out where to buckle my shoulder strap on my 73 Challenger.  :pullinghair:

I want to say something is missing but I figured I'd see what you guys think. I dont know if these pictures help any but I guess they can't hurt.

Welcome aboard here.

The retractor coming up from the floor should have a knob on the chrome end that the star shaped hole in the shoulder belt fits into. Once the shoulder belt is connected to the retractor end, they both slide into the belt by the console. I'm sure this is as clear as mud, sorry I don't have a picture for you.

I agree, on my 70 with shoulder belts, the clasp end is on the tunnel side, the peg is on the retractor side.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
