E-body '68 Charger!?!
« on: August 22, 2007 - 01:55:01 PM »
Look at the pic of the body and then check out the link.  You can see that something looks amiss.  I thought it was an AMC Rambler at first then I saw the little tell tail indentations on the doors that said Charger to me.  There's also a '70 Challenger they did very nicely.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

 :clueless:

I like that people are trying new things with Mopars but this one is not the best idea I have ever seen.

I see the AMC influence but also it looks too much like a '67 Chevelle.   It's like they took all of the neat coke bottle styling and squared it off.  The dash looks like something a kid in autoshop would do on the metal brake.  No shape at all.  The area under the rear seat looks pretty crude and they are not proud of the taillights or they would have showed them.

The really weird thing is that worlds first E-body Charger claim!!  How do they figure that  :dunno:

The Challenger is alot more interesting looking to me.  Kinda cool... the extended nose is a little weird and the hood is just wrong

:eek4:  It is cool to think outside of the box, but when it comes to classic style, lets not make it look like a box  :puke:

I bet that over half the people on this board could build the same thing, but even better!  :2thumbs:

The Perfection shop is a little ways north of me. I saw the Charger & Chally at the Mecum Auction in the spring. I gotta say although well done craftsmanship wise, they really dont do anything for me.  :grinno:
70 Chally R/T Convertible- Yes she's really got a HEMI, no she's not a Charger!

I like the Challenger, being a simple colour it's smooth and classy.
The wheels are OK, I would have gone for some flat black rims if I went that size. :2cents:

I'm with you on that. With the color being black and having no real trim, those chrome wheels are emphasized WAY too much.

I'd say black chrome at the very least.

Saw them at the Nats.,I took pictrures . VERY high dollar stuff ! Excellent craftsmanship very high tech ,Challenger was slick ,Charger looked  kinda odd . Check the exhaust outlet on the charger two 3 " pipes ending at the small rectangle  outlet .

I'll bet they just loved parking on all that loose gravel!  :eek7:

I see the Charger's running a Wi Collector tag....  :nono: way too modified for that!  :grinyes:
