Totally unbelievable what they started with!  :22yikes:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

This brings up the re-body debate.  There is nothing really original about that car, except the VIN numbers.  More parts have been "replaced" than not.

Looks great though!

I'm not going to debate the re-body issue, but I just have to wonder what the car's story actually is?  I've seen some very mangled cars in my years on the road, but nothing like this one.  All I can think of is that it must have mis-timed a railroad crossing and met a locomotive.  Anyone know what happened to it?

Just a guess but I would say it's just mistreatment at the boneyard they got it from.  Originally rusted but then hit in the front and junked out.  After a while other cars get stacked on top of it, the forklift hits it ect...

This is a illegal vin swap, plain and simple. Why dosent someone impound this car, like they said they would the white vert from France?? If they want to take every HEMI part off of it, and build a clone, fine. This is what makes this hobby sad. Tell me he did not rebody this car!

Rebody, plain and simple. Clone at best, illegal at worst.
