74 Dodge Dart Sport
« on: August 25, 2007 - 09:44:50 AM »
Hello y'all.  Sorry about a little old A Body showing up here, but I'm posting this for my Father in Law.

He is looking to sell his 74 Dart Sport (A/C car) with the original 318 and 96,500 miles.  The 904 transmission was also just rebuilt a couple months ago.  It is brown with white vinyl top, and real clean white interior with brown carpets and trim.  The body is in real good driver condition with very little rust, but would need some minor body work and repaint to make it more of a show car.  This would actually make a nice daily driver, and runs and drives real nice.  The car is currently in the Worcester, MA area.  If you have any questions, please call 401-265-4127, and ask for Steve.  You can also email me and I will forward any questions.

He is asking $6,600 or best offer.

Just a couple notes Steve wanted me to add:
The A/C components are all present, it just is not currently hooked up and running.  It should just need a recharge and new hoses.  The car has front disc brakes, AM/FM radio, and the fold-down rear seats.

That thing would be perfect for my very far in the future A bod SB stroker project.   :grinyes:

What a sleeper!   :burnout:

Good Point, BigBlock.  I meant to mention that possibility, also.  These bodies make good drag cars, and you could squeeze a big block or a juiced up 360 in and leave the body as is, and have a perfect sleeper.

Want to trade?  I actually like the early A bodies very much, along with the swinger style later ones, but just not so much the sport/demon body style.  With that said, this is a nice car.  My father in law would like to hold on to it, but he needs the cash to put a 440 into his 66 satellite.  Thanks for the welcome!

Very clean looking original car.  :2thumbs:Hard to find this nice that haven't been cut up or had some other modification. Good luck selling it. I never could figure out why the Dart went to the Duster/Demon body style?? :dunno:

The motor is all stock, however he does have a set of headers and a 4 barrel intake that he will include with the sale.  Last year they put a Summit Racing dual exhaust system in from the manifold back, including new mufflers.

The rear end is the stock 8-1/4.  Not sure about the gears, but his best guess would be 3.21.  Definitely highway gears.  Bolt pattern is 4.5 inch.

Thanks for asking.

Very Cool..... I had one a few years after I returned from SE Asia that was red with the white stripe;    My wife nearly killed herself when she totalled it "all those years ago........."     Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to buy this one!

Good luck!
