My how time flies. I realize i havent posted since last september, but i have gotten some stuff done. Just too darn lazy to tell anyone about it, so i am repenting and going to do better at posting my progress.
i am a bit embarrased about this, but hope to make up for my laziness. This is what i have been up to lately; wet sanded car with 1500, and then 2000. Buffed it out using the 3M products. It scared the heck out of me to do it, but i did not have a burn through or anything like that. I will have to go back and do some more, as i shied away from edges and now it looks kind of funny having orange peel along most of the edges. But i must have had plenty of clear on it cause i had to work it down a ways because of the orange peel. It looks a million times better now. I will get some pictures posted soon. I welded in the bumper slot areas on my rear valence, and so had to repaint it, and so i painted the fron valence at the same time. Just need to get them hung back on the car.
Things i have bought and are being installed : headliner, sail panels, carpet, sill plates, carpet underlay, rear tray and insulation , new speakers, front and rear door panels(legendary), heater box rebuild kit (my next project) new Dash pad, New mirrors, wheel well trim, hood scoops, window roller kits, a-pillar trim, seat covers and bunch of other little misc. items. I have spent a wad of money, but now i have enough stuff to basically finish the interior over the next month or so. I bought a roll of window tint and am currently installing on my windows now. Door windows are done, still need to do the side windows and the rear window. I think i will remove my rear window so i can do a better job. But i wanted to get that done before i started to install the interior items. Tried to get a local tinting shop to come to my house and do it, but they put me off and put me off, so i guess they didnt want any business. I promise to get a few pictures soon. Heading out of town for a day or two and will update with pics when i get back.
