Don't get me wrong I dig the EFI but the "Sore Thumb" are the green rings on the nozzles themself. Put Some black shrink wrap on them. If you have Rogans Cuda Buildbook they do it on page 147

Ohhh, I see what you mean. Yes, it is an eye sore but luckily Tim only threw the base plate on there to take a photo. If you look closely it's also hitting the dizzy, it was a mock photo so I (the customer) could have a sneak look at what it will roughly look like (& to amp me up). As Tim says, he's got some detailing to do. ;) He knows Hemis and how they came so I'll leave (as I've done from the start) everything up to him. I' told him what I wanted out of my engine/car, he makes it happen.

(Ps: Thanks for pointing it out all the same).

Ah ok! The motor looks real good. Can never see that its' aluminium. I would say it's a sleeper, but I don't think the Large by Huge Hemi can be! It just demands your respect!

Thanks Jvike and I agree, factory looking but with Hemi billboards it will never be a sleeper although no one will know what cubic inch Hemi I have. Cards up my sleeve in that respect I guess. :naughty: Just for "the record", it's not meant to be a sleeper or stealth at all I just love the factory look of these cars with the odd (in this case major) modern equipment. The valve covers will be stock so the "FHO" will be gone.

Nothing too major though, just a nice blend. My aim on Lucy and this car (or any for my tastes) is for people to be able to walk around it, look into the interior and exterior and think it's factory until they take a second look at some areas then they'll know that it's not quite a factory runner.  :)

Thanks. 275s will try their best.  Not enough for sure, no tire is really when you get over the 600hp mark. 265, 275, 295 or 335s will light up. Will just take some clutch work and practice to make the most of the power. Once under way shiftin gears will be paradise. As the saying goes: I'll be eating my hanky!

Thanks 71bb.  :2thumbs:

StrOkEr - Not sure yet, he got 617hp on a test run not using my EFI a little while ago.
Still wiating for the ECU thing before he gets some solid numbers. I'd like 615-630hp tops.

Update:

Hi Carl, here are a few pictures with the 71 covers on, along with the correct but modified distributor. Once the shaker components are installed, the EFI is hard to spot. Let me know what you think. We are currently shortening the fuel rails a little more, so they are really hard to notice and we'll be masking the injectors. I will be putting the orange breather lid on once we are finished mocking things up. They scratch pretty easily. This black breather is for mock up only. On another note, my shipper is investigating a couple of options. Tim @FHO

Looking really good, not too far off a stock Hemi once complete. :bananasmi

Thanks BB71. I just love the stock look but hidden mod style cars. Upgrading where I/we see fit to improve driveability, longevity & strength all while keeping the stock appearance or as close to as humanly possible.

I was looking at your Challengers interior and also like the upgraded belt system. I used to like putting on 2 sperate belts but when you drive your car daily it gets to be a real pain hooking and unhooking both sets of belts. Then when you do have them on properly you have no freedom to move. I love seat belts, they saved my life and the lives of my 2 kids in a rollover in 96 but I also prefer the flexible nature of modern seatbelts. That is something I am going to look at when I get my car back together. Where did you source your belts? Are they single belts with 3 point system?

Thanks, as far as I know they are 3 point and single. I agree, unless you're going for a 100% concourse trailer queen then IMO you should look at upgrading to modern safety belts. You won't win first in prize for correct # belts sitting next to the pearly gates. You can source them anywhere, mine are Australian made, similar belts are quite easy to find in the US. Do a search on seat belts and you'll come up with plenty of feedback. :) The belts, CD player, rear speakers & radar are about the only modern upgrades I have interior wise, just a tiny splash of modern.
