Awesome motor but I would of left it unpainted,I guess for the cool factor, but like you say you can't tell by lookingat it ! But what kind of setup do you have for the pump and the alternator? looks very good and very practical with smaller brackets.

Thanks guys. :2thumbs:

I talked to Tim and we have indeed set the rev limiter at 6,200rpm but this can be changed by laptop via the Bigstuff3 electronics. He said the last thing you'll be worrying about when driving this car is more rpms (lol). He said other engines like the small blocks or 426 engines have to rev high to make the high hp mine makes but mine does it much lower down. He said I'd be grabbing 3rd while there mid range 2nd which is exactly what I wanted. I can rev up high if wanted but there really is no point as it stays pretty level after 5,700rpm.

The dyno tests they run are acceleration pulls where they don't need to rev up high and/or keep it at a set rpm for a long period of time. He explained it but not exactly lamines terms. I asked him to send me an email explaining it as best as he could. Here is the dyno video:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5689401469455847665&hl=en
I asked him because I thought it sound like they kept cutting it short and the engine rpms kept dipping. His response was that it's how they do the dyno using the acceleration pull, it picks up the numbers every millisecond so there is no need to sit there. He said the video doesn't do it justice at all. In the shop the floors were shaking and it was extremely loud.

I'm very excited, just want this project to get underway and start!!  :pullinghair:

Hey Carl, :blah:

Next time you are chin wagging with the boys at FHO ask them to e-mail or fax the cam card details on to you please.  I would be interested to know the grind they put in your 540 Hells Bells Hemi. :ylsuper:

Yup, I have already asked him for the cam specs. The reason I don't know is when I got the build sheet this was prior to build so he hadn't decided on which cam, he just had down: "custom order camshaft". I'll post it here when he gets back.

The specs on that motor are madness. So much torque.

That could be true...   :grinyes:   The cam in The Beast is a grind that isn't in the manufacturers catalog or listed on their website.    :2thumbs:

Yup, Tim said it's a torque engine. From down low to red line it's just madness he said. He highly recommended getting a shift light lol. He has the same engine set up in his car so that says something I guess. He builds them day in, day out so if he's happy, I'll be happy. He was really, really good aye. Best I've dealt with. He threw in lots of extras for free mostly tubes, clips and other misc bits as he said I was so far away the last thing he or I wants is to have it hooked and a 10c piece hold us back. He said he's always on call for any assistance + he'd be calling me to inform if any new upgrades or new pieces can be used for my engine to keep it modern and up with the times. As soon as I find a out anything on the cam even if it's top secret (lol) I'll let you guys know.
