Thanks everyone! Lots of nice comments and good input about the sills & colour combo. I'm still not sure on the sills but at the moment it's in favour of without. Question, if I paint the car and don't put the sills on, is all that is required to put them on is line up, tape the drill points and install? Just wondering if it's an easy job to do AFTER the paint. I know it's bad to do it after the paint but I'm thinking in terms of a last resort to put them on if it looks too bare.
67vertman - LMAO "Neil"
Carl, but thanks for the kind words mate, much appreciated.
Swedefish - At this stage I'm aiming for around 1/1/2009 or around 16-18 months.
aussie-e-body - Thanks, Lucy & Madeline are the names I wanted. Both fit the era or the cars, unique enough (but not weird unique) and just good car names. I don't name my other cars just as cars but being a Moparfreak and with the passion I have these cars are more than cars to me, I wouldn't name my kid "Human" or "Come to tea XT9945" so I wouldn't name my pride & joys the same either. Each to their own, but, I love my cars, Lucy & Madeline. Oh, and Madeline could be like that too lol Lucy is the good girl.
StrOkEr - Yup, I agree 100%. The word clone seems to be used very willy nilly. Clones (to me) are exact replicas, without being too anal like #'s blocks but using date codes and correct ci engines, factory interior, stampings from the workers, basically a concourse car without a #'s block is a clone to me. My car definitely CAN'T be a clone and I prefer it that way. I prefer mine to be a factory custom build car (or similar). And yes, from the very start of this Hemi project I was always going to remove the fender tag and make my own one up, custom, not forged.
Thanks again everyone.
