Painting engine compartment.
« on: August 29, 2007 - 06:17:32 PM »
I had my engine compartment painted black as I though it would make my engine stand out & the body is painted blue...well anyways, I was told by a so-called Mopar expert that the engine compartment in a Mopar are ALWAYS painted the same as the body. Is this ture? :clueless:Thanks
My lugnuts require more TQ than your ricer produces!!!

It should be body color, so you now have a Chebbie engine compartment.

I dont think that a black bay necessarily looks awful, its just that every time I see it it makes me cringe.    :crying:

Unless you have a black car then the engine bay should be the same color as the car.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

This is a big reason why I painted the engines bays and inside of my stock cars white. Another part of it was because white would more easily shows cracks, should any develop.
