Gran Coupe/SE Challenger headliner pictures needed

when you removed your headliners did you find insulation glued to the roof, like standard non gran coupe/se cars have                                                                                       ?

There is a guy named Barnabas Kriss.  He made a bunch of overhead console lens's a while back.  I bought one off him for like $17.00.  If you email him, he may still have some.  aurum@axionet.com

My sail panels and console are ready. Need just change new lense and paint & polish trim.
Headliner cardbord needs still some TLC.

wow no bids....my head liner does not seem to be padded.

Overhead console is now restored.

Took some time because cardboard needed attention, new material, new warning light lense. Trim is polished & painted, light bar is glassbeaded , new screws etc. It's a pitty that dome light lenses are so hard to find.
 
By the way. I can see dome lights installed both ways. Which one is correct?? I think mine is now WRONG way

Finished ours--finally got the time to work with it.  We ended going with a stretch velvet from Fabric.com.  The original headliner was pretty threadbare, but another console we had was a very velvetty beige which led us to conclude that they are supposed to be sort of suede or velvet.  The stretchiness of this fabric made it pretty easy to glue over curves without running into wrinkling.  We laid down a thin foam before applying the fabric. I have scraps if anyone wants fabric samples.

Wow - looks great!  The material I used was "velvety" and was very similar to what came off of it.  For anyone interested, these can be installed in vinyl headliner cars too!
