That'll be an interesting daily driver, Ghost. If you want to work some magic on the paint, give this a try. Give it a good hand wash, let it dry, Buy a Clay Bar (Mothers or Meguiars carries them), buy some Meguiar's Deep Crystal System Polish, Deep Crystal Wax, and an extra bottle of Quik Detailer. Follow the directions with the clay bar (spraying Quik Detailer in the area you are claying) until the car is smooth to the touch and you don't feel any grit underneath the bar. Wipe it down with a non-lint cloth and let it dry a little. Then use the Deep Crystal Polish until you start to see the paint really getting a nice luster. After you've rubbed the excess off with a towel/cloth, begin waxing it and give it a couple nice coats. By the time you're done doing all this, any of the painted areas that were once slightly oxidized/faded should be fresh and smooth. I think I spent around $85 total doing the above steps, but I'm very pleased with the results and my paint looks 10X better than before.
(Please realize I forgot to wash the roof, so I didn't get a chance to clay bar, polish, and wax it.)
Here's a better photo showing how rough the hood looked prior to working on it.
