try the 5 key turn trick and see if you can get the codes out yourself.  I had an issue with the CEL light on my 94 years ago.  I even went to the dealer and had it scanned they found no codes either but i did the 5 key turn trick(turn the ign. key 5 times and it'll flash you the numbers for the code and then you just look them up on the list) and i found out my O2 sensor was bad.  Give me a ring ive got a haynes book you can borrow if you need it.

I thought it was 3 times???  did they change it on the newer ones?? my 91-94 dak was 3 and so was our 97 intrepid.

I bought one from AutoZone for 39.95.  It's made by Wells.  Any one know anything about them?  I checked with Advanced and they were 43.97 and made by GP Sorenson.  Any one know which one may be the better quality?  I don't mind spending a few bucks more for a better part.

my 94 ram works with the 5 turn and it even says to do that in Haynes


Hopalong you should be fine with the wells ive used there parts in the past

Whichever one has the longer warranty. I don't think one brand is really better than the other unless it is reboxed OE stuff.

The sensor in the rearend will fix your problem and I have always done 3 times on the key turns.
