Got mine pretty quick. Just waiting on the engine brace but that's due to them having complications. One thing I don't get is they advertise quite a bit like in Mopar Muscle etc for parts they haven't even made, eg: EFI fuel tank. They had them advertised as the first E-Body fuel tanks for EFI (look stock) so I called to enquire what they were like and was told they hadn't been made yet and were quite aways from being finished (6 months+), ah, why advertise then?  :dunno:

Good products and the service is usually very good, sometimes you get no replies to emails, just depends what the questions are and if they want to answer them. I asked about the hydro boost as Scott told me they would last for 2-3 minutes+ if the engine died compared to 2-3 pumps with vacuum, I was like WOW! Then I find out (from guys on here it's not true). I called Scott after the sale and he changed the story to a few extra pumps on the brake. So, I asked him if it was just a sales pitch, no answer, disappointed but never mind. :2cents:

Carl, how much of the stiffening kit did you use? Do you know if the whole stiffening kit can be used with a standard suspension? I'm thinking of doing the kit on my build. :clueless:

I purchased the entire kit and the entire kit will go on, bar the engine brace. It's still being made but I want it still, may put it on Dads, may sell it, who knows, it won't be going on mine, too much of an eye sore. So, subframes, firewall to inner fender braces & rad support. Don't forget to add torque boxes to your parts list.  ;)

What about the extra stuff that gets welded on the shock tower mount (near the upper suspension arm)? That's the stuff I'm most worried about.

Nope, that will be fine, won't impact or impede with any of the stock suspension. Call XV if you're that worried about it but it will be fine. Just in case you weren't 100% sure or others don't know, their stiffening kit consist of the following: Engine Compartment Brace, Laser Cut Sub-Frame Connectors, Mandrel Bent Lower Radiator Support/Front Frame Rail Connectors & Mandrel Bent Firewall to Shock Tower Braces.

My guys are going to contact XV to make sure either way. Seems rather positive though! I definitely want the simplest path to an XV Level II kit should I decide to go that far with the car.

I can't wait to see your car come together. How long till you strip it down and get dirty with it?

 :iagree:

about a week on mine, I wonder if they were going to use the Aeromotive tanks they were going to make for thier fi conversion tanks, I see that aeromotive has changed the release dates a bunch of times also.

I have a thread on installing the rad brace if you want some pics...
