    ok  I have not used the stand a lone MSD dist system s I cannot comment , the MSD 6 AL I have used but I am not a big fan , instead of dials for the rev limiter you have to buy chips [resisters] at $50 / set & not you cannot get individual ones , so personally I use Crane Hi6 boxes at 1/2 the cost instead
