440 Hood emblems - I'm having size issues

Ok this is a dumb question but....

I have a new Rallye Hood for my 73 Challenger.  I am looking for the 440 Magnum emblems to put on it.  Now I ordered a set (off ebay $75.00) and they came in at only 5 3/4 inches with 2 pins.  My hood has 3 holes and is much larger than 5 3/4 inches (not the holes the length).  So what am I looking for?  The ones I bought said 70-71 440 Magnum hood emblems.  

Year one has 2 different part#'s for the 440 hood emblems and one being $26.xx and the other being $82.xx, no measurements listed

I am not sure why your hood would have 3 holes? My hood has only 2. I can get a measure it.

I believe you have the correct embems. The two prices listed in my Y1 catalog represent 'New Chrysler' and 'Reproduction' with 'New Chrysler' being the more expensive of the two. There should only be two holes in your hood

Our 70 Challenger (w/ original hood) has the 383 magnum emblem with two pins which are a little over 5 inches apart.  Do you suppose the newer hoods (with crumple zones?) had three holes while the '70s had two? Dunno, just adding my two pins- uh, cents to the conversation.

 My '70 has two holes for the 440 emblems, 383 are the same. just guessing but how many holes are on a 340 emblem? maybe '72 and up hoods have different holes for later  emblems?

possibly your hood had the larger Charger hodd emblems on it at some point ?

Sleepy, I just got NOS hood emblems for my car. This is what you wanted for a Challenger hood.

Free the looks of it those are the size I am looking for.  So Chryco you think I need to get Charger 440 call outs because the hood has just been painted.  I can get a pic but like Sleepy posted I need something about 10" long and 3 pins.

I havea set of the longer / larger Charger 440 hood emblems , I do not have them handy but 10" sounds about right
