I am runing a 440 SIX PACK with a 284/484 purple shaft cam ,Koffels Place did the machine work, 3.55 sure grip. I got disk brakes from a72 Ralley and front and rear sway bars. My exhaust consists of Headman ceramic headers with a home fabricated 3 inch x pipe through super turbo mufflers tail are only 2 1/4 but soon to change. Best time in the 1/4 13.1 at 105mph on street tires through the muflers 60ft times still over 2 seconds, can't get no traction. I also got pulled over for going 25 in a 20 but the cop just wanted to look at the car no ticket or warning  ;D ;D

Asking for TROUBLE!  May not be able to get you then, but will remember for later . . . like your license plate?? I'm pretty lucky here, most of the local cops know me in this town that I live.  Since I'm a business owner and have lived here pretty much my whole life, they don't bother me too much.  If I want to get crazy, they tell me to do it outside of city limits so the county cops can deal with me.  Not too many of them so my chances of getting caught are slim to none. Light em up! ! ! ! ! !  :o  :o  :o   ;D  ;D  ;D  8)

Rev... I've done it a few times with friends... somehow I knew you would be the one to ask about that... ROFL!!! 8) 8) :D

It's hard for the cops to grab my plates as my buddies and I do that while we're driving... it's usually dark out too... ya gotta have this all thought out, or that's when it backfires!! :P

This is more of a reverse police kill story.  Here in Ottawa, Canada, the cops don't call for backup when they pull a car over, and rarely pull a firearm.  A few summers ago, I was cruisin down the main drag through downtown to get to the main hwy, windows down, Alice Cooper up, obeying the traffic law (for once) and a cruiser lit me up.  I pulled over, and these two black cops got out and flanked the Challenger, GUNS DRAWN!!!  I've NEVER seen a cop pull a piece in this town, yet alone for a routine stop!!  They asked for my paperwork, which I had, went over every inch of the car, to no avail, and had me there for over half an hour (without so much as saying why they stopped me.  I figured it was a reverse racial thing.  Two black cops pull over a white guy in a white guy car listenin to white guy music) so FINALLY they realize that the car is reg'd as yellow, and was green.  You'd thought they found a kilo of crack and a body in my trunk, they were so happy!  I got the ticket, went to the MTO (our DMV) changed the registration, fought the ticket, and beat it.

Take THAT piggy!!

I have a GREAT story about my buddy Chris and his Neon, but it'll take a while to write, so it'll have to wait.

The cops in Cleveland Ohio are just scum bags.Everytime I get pulled over they do something silly. One time I went with my brother to pick up a truck that he just bought and it had a bad z-bar so he would have to dump the clutch or it would stall .He was reving a little harder than needed and I was following in his monty carlo. One green light and one smokey burn out into the trip a cop pulls me over. His exact words to me were "I heard squeeling tires and when I looked I saw you going through the intersection".If he had any intelligence at all he would have noticed I was going THROUGH a smoke cloud and not leaving one.So my brother comes walking up and he's trying to explain that he was the one that did the burn out and the draw their guns on him.I had to park in front of a private driveway because the street was full and they also got ****ty with the lady that lived there.Nothing but bad attitude and ignorance from those two.Somehow I still got a warning for something I didn't even do and had a confesser for.

Another time I got popped for speeding in a school zone (2 hours after school let out) and after the cop gives me the ticket he does a big smokie burn out when he takes off ,STILL IN THE SCHOOL ZONE!Then he goes the wrong way down a one-way street. It's pretty damn silly that I get a ticket for 38 on the main road while speed racer is tearing up the town like a prick.

When i was 18 i owned a 70 340 Duster,Panther Pink #s car :o. I was coming home from my girls house and cruisin through Fernie B.C. doing some little hops on the highway and almost out of town when passing the last gas station not 1 but 2 cop cars tear out after me!!! I was pulled over in tandem 1 in front of me and 1 behind, just like in the movies 8) Well it never turned out to be a happy ending they nailed me with 2 tickets. One for stunting and the other was tailgateing. Go figure, o well i was young and silly then, now im older and still silly :D It was fun, now im a little more careful.

I love stunting , it is the catch all , if the cops can`t nail you  with anything & you really haven`t broken any laws they use the Stunting ticket  ::)

I'm just now getting to this thread -- (lots of reading to make up)  Man you guys have some great stories!!   oh my, where to start for mine.  needed a few trees for my tickets.  But LB wants that Atlanta-Birmingham story first. OK-  My friend has a trooper friend and this encounter covers the section of I-20 between Atlanta and Birmingham... look it up - its a L O N N N G  straight road.  So they sit out there in rest stops and in median hidaways clocking and nailing the unluckies.  So its 2am or so and this trooper's almost dozing off and his radar comes to life and blinks 142mph.  WHOA!  He snaps to attention and checks the road.  No car anywhere.   Strange.  No other malfunction.  ???  Next night, sometime around 2:30am almost to the alabama line-  another hit-  130Mph or so fires off!  yep, no car in sight.  Cant figure it out.  Radars checked nothing found.  >:( >:( Next night they're ready.  3am.  140mph clocked.  This time they HEAR it but dont see it.  The sound is like you hear from the camera they mount on the wall of a straightaway in a Formula 1 race.  something like 9000 RPM  yeeeeeeeeeeoow! !
They radio ahead- get a roadblock almost to the alabama state line.  Yep- they get him.  A Ferrari-  black on black with all the chrome taped off and the driver in posession of night vision goggles!  ;D ;D  Seems he was a doctor attending conference in Atl- and making the 3 hr commute every night probably getting it done in an hour.  I wonder who's driving his car nowadays.  8)
