Does your trunk mat fit?
« on: September 05, 2007 - 07:49:45 PM »
I hope this can be categorized as "interior."  Just received a Cuda trunk mat I ordered from Ed's (a.k.a. TheMoparShop) It came in the original REM carton, but when I put it in, it was at least 3'' too narrow.  If I centered it on the fuel pipe, the left edge ended up on top of the jack spring loop.  If I put the jack loop through the slit provided, then it was at least 3'' short of fitting the big evaporative tube thingie on the right side of the trunk.  Has this mat shrunk "in the warm California sun" of Madera or Fresno, or is this to be expected?

Should I return it or is it just the way it is?

FYI, I have no experience in this matter but I would at least contact the vendor & explain the issue & see what they might suggest. Sounds like the one you have may have been miscut.

I ordered a repop one from Year one and it fits like a glove!! I can't remember having ANY issues with it at all !!  I agree with Bullitt99 call the vendor and tell them the problems you are having!

Thanks for all the feedback on this.  The mat was made by Remautoinc.com and, accordiing to their website, they sell to a number of the Mopar suppliers like Dante's and Jim's.  I left them an email about the problem and will return the mat to the vendor.  I hadn't heard of Herb's before, so I'll give him a call and see what he has.  Thanks again.
