If you talking about the spring perches all you need is the mopar 3/4 relo kit and the springs will match up perfecT to the b body spring perch... trust me on this as I did it....dont look for other ways on this forget about the extra 1/4 on the 1" kit...

B body rear and 3/4 relo kit / 10" wheels and 5" backspace....period!

pm me if need more details! I fit 28*12.5*15's easily whith no wheel spacers...and plenty of clearance to the spring and wheelwell lip...

:2thumbs: but I am going bigger soon.... :burnout:

 :iagree:

I already posted on this thread earlier today but it got deleted somehow  :dunno:  Maybe because of the system going down several times today.

Doesn't matter because I saved it.......

Yes,  But you need A-body springs

When viewed from below the stock springs on a E-body go right through the wheelwells wasting about 3/4 inch.  With a sixties style B-body rear, Super Stock spring hangers and springs you kill two birds with one stone.  Better traction with tire clearence and it's all a bolt in  :2thumbs:
Of course you can use any A-body springs like the HD ones if you don't want to go with SS springs

Get a Mopar Performance Chassis book.  They are cheap and very helpfull  :ebay:

If you conver to the SS spring hanger, you can use A body springs or super stock springs. Both are the same length. However, you cannot use B body springs in an E body. They actually are different lengths than E body springs.

I have '67 Belvedere rear end and I use Dr Diff hangers with E-body springs. With this set up I can use 10x15" wheels with 5" back spacing.
If you have 68-70 B-body rear -> 5.5" bs is the best choice.

YOU CAN USE E-BODY SPRINGS.

I made my own 1" offset front hangers and rear 1" offset shackles, dropped in a b-body rear end, then used the 10" wheels with a 5-1/2" backspacing.  Dr Diff sells the offset kit, then all you would need is the rear-end.

For better traction you may consider using A-bod springs.  They have a 2" shorter front segment that reacts better to clamps and other mods. The shorter in the front the stickier the launch it seems to me.

Not a big deal but any little thing you can do to plant the car better helps.

YOU CAN USE E-BODY SPRINGS.

I made my own 1" offset front hangers and rear 1" offset shackles, dropped in a b-body rear end, then used the 10" wheels with a 6-1/2" backspacing.  Dr Diff sells the offset kit, then all you would need is the rear-end.

Did you mean 5 1/2" backspacing? Because even 5 1/2" is pushing the limit

Whoops, I changed it.   Yes 5-1/2 backspacing is what I'm using with the 10" wheel. It all fits inside the wheelwell and it sits LOW.

I used a B-body 8 3/4 housing and 440/6pk B-body springs that I modified in my '72 Cuda stocker years ago. They worked out great, avg. 1.52 60ft times in a 3650lb. small block. Where talking back in the early 80's, OK,  360cuda I know they weren't legal for Stock Eliminator, but then again who was.. :grinyes:

Yeah, but they were more legal that a pair of straight up super stock springs. I know about the main leaf substitution trick and have it on my Aspen. It ran 1.70 60 footers right out of the box.

:iagree: I test fitted some cop rims on Dad's Cuda a while back. 15 x 10" with a 5-1/2" BS and it fit perfectly. Close but not close to hitting. It had roughly 1/2 an inch to the lip and around 1/2-3/4 of an inch to the leafs.
