Quarter windows

I have just put new guides and rollers on my quarter winds but they still seem very loose back and forth. Up and down seem fine as well as out to in but I can't amagine that they should be that loose back to front. Any ideas why?

I thought that the vertical guides can only go on one way. What is the right way?

I gues I need to find a set of the nylon sliders , they need to hold the window into the track without play
