Windshield Moulding Clips
« on: September 10, 2007 - 06:51:40 AM »
During my paint process and fixing certain things on the body, my holes for the windshield clips  got filled in and I do not know how many clips were involved to hold the  moulding in place.  Can someone get a count and possibly locations where they go?  Thanks, David

I will have to do the same when the time comes. I have some rust repair to do, which will eliminate the studs in the metal. Does anyone know if these can be purchased? I know the clips that go with the trim can be purchased, but i have not seen anything about the pins. I think i can make them out of some nail heads if i have to. I am hoping that i can buy t :dunno:hem.

Posted on my resto thread about the deal I got on my clips.  Still need to know how many and where are they for the front windshield.

My 'Cuda windshield has 11 clips, 3 on each side and 5 across the top.  The 1st side clip is about 4.5" up from the horizontal, the 2nd is 8" above that one, and the 3rd is 8" above the 2nd.  The 1st top clip is about 5", measured diagonally (or with a compass) from the top side clip, next one over is another 8.5", then the center clip at about 12".  I found though that the center clip was not really on "center" because the next clip was again another 8.5" but the other end clip was 6" from the top side clip.  I measured these up the driver's side, across the top and down the passenger side.  Hope that puts you in the ball park.
