Man that 72 B5 is a darker Blue, it nearly looks like B7 for an earlier car, it looks awesome  :2thumbs:

The body guys called yesterday to tell me the car was ready to come home.
 :bananasmi
But it's raining today, so not today, not in the rain.
 :nono:
Meanwhile, I've started trying to piece together the grille.

But I need a huge favor from someone.
I need someone to post a close up photo of the area around the nose, marked in the photo with the red circle, as there is material missing from that area and I need a guideline to try to fabricate parts of it.

Probably.
But I don't think anyone is reproducing these grilles.
I think someone used to but the quality was bad.
And I'm trying to avoid NOS prices.  :money:

Are we going to get to see progressive repair photos to that grill?

Absolutely...
...if I make any progress.
 ;D
But seriously, I have to.
I don't think there is an alternative.

Here are some pictures of an NOS grille.  Not mine.  I think I got them from an e-bay add years ago.

Look what came home today.

I know I will have to take it back out to put in the insulation, but I just had to install something.

Finally on the downhill side after more than seven years.
