My pleasure Carl, did you know of his old car?

You have a new T/A over there to keep an eye out for. ;-)

Cool, I will keep an eye out for it. What's the color combo of the new Kiwi T/A?  :dunno: :bananasmi

I've "known" Dave for around 3-4 years through his old Forum (FBO), we use to email each other occasionally but I haven't heard back from him and his forum seemed to die down quite a bit so I knew him straight away when I got his email, knowledgeable guy for sure. Unfortunately I have not seen or heard of his old 69 Dart but for some reason it does ring a bell, the colour definitely (Q5 Turquoise) but I can't put my finger on it.

I'm 60% sure I have seen it up for sale on Trade-Me around 14 months or so ago. I will keep an eye out for him as I am keeping an eye out for several other overseas ex-car owners as well. Thanks once again for the referral. I have forward your name and site to a few Kiwis wanting to know weird options and codes so hopefully they got through to you.

Cheers,
Carl

Great set of pics. You have to like the outfits and hair doos! What is with so many white T/A's though? I didn't think there were that many. I remember around the summer of 72 my 65 Cuda was on it's last leg. My mother and I went to Aberdeen, SD to look for me a different car. We stopped at the Dodge dealer and there was a White T/A setting in the used cars. It had window louvers and a four speed and was sweet. My mother loved it to so off for a test drive we go. (BAD MISTAKE) We drove out of town a while and I turned around. Before I got the car streight I hammered it in first and then slammed second and we ended up sideways on the 4 lane. My mother was screaming I would kill myself with this car and would not co-sighn for it. I would not get another chance to own a T/A untill 1990. I still have it and it's not going to another owner while I'm alive!

Man that sucks, I bet looking back you wish you could have displayed just a little more control, until she signed on the dotted line

You Bet!! I must of wasted my pants knees begging to get the car. It didn't work! When we found the T/A we have now the wife thought it was to much money. We had a short discussion, I told her one woman stopped me once and history was not going to repeat. She now agrees it was a good decision.

I hear that. I missed out on a nice 71 Challenger vert for the simple fact that it was a convertible. I was in high school and had a job at a filling station. I could afford the payments and insurance, I just did not have the credit  :banghead:

That just makes me want to dig out my old photos - I took a bunch of photos at car shows, cruizes and drag strips all over SoCal from about 1976 up until the late 80's.  I was an amatuer photographer and used to run off roll after roll of 35mm.  I need to find the time to scan them in......

Please do!

Brian owned a white T/A, it had a green vinyl top, but it looks black in some of the photos. There are several photos of his car in there.

Carl, the T/A headed that way may still be in transit? It is green.

What a small world. A buddy of mine in Vegas just e-mailed an old pic of my car from that collection. It all brings back memories, I was the SIAC rep for Ontario some time in the '80's after John Vanka, and I used to even know Brian. BTW, I still have all my old SIAC and All American Racer issues too, there was a lot of good info in them at the time.
