What intake manifold?

  Wondering what intake to run on my 71 340 chally.727 trans w/276 gears.plan on going to 3.55's though.running a mopar cam pt#p4120231 hyd 284/284 o/l 68 .484/484 v/l 0 cam c-line 108.what stall converter should i use also.and what cfm carb do you suggest for this combo?any more info needed???

I would use a 700-750 carb , I prefer Holleys , such as the 82751 750 HP
there are a # of good intakes , LD340 if you can get one or Eddy RPM air gap
probaby a 2600-3000 stall

  thanks guys,chryco is the cast boat anchor any good cause i still have the original.i read some where that the flow on these was'nt the best or was that on a 440 eng.  can't remember for sure.  whats the LD340 intake?

the factory cast intake is a good intake , the LD is an old eddy intake only available used now

Are the factory 340 cast iron intakes all the same from say '68 to '74?

The old eddy LD was a great intake.  I ran one in my old 70 340 lime 'Cuda. If memory serves it actually has a pentastar and chrysler part number cast into it. I filed off the Edelbrock logo and painted it engine color, it looked stock.

I am almost positive it will. It is pretty much identical to the stock iron 340 intake with regards to appearance. My 'Cuda did not have air but it did seem to have all the bosses for compressor brackets and such.

Cool if it does   We have decided to restore the car back to stock "appearance" for shows and such but I have an LD340 and if it accepts the factory A/C the car came with, well, I won't tell    Unless there are hood clearance issues with that manifold, the factory air cleaner, and the hood insulation blanket.

I wasn't even close to being thought of yet so maybe an old codger could verify that.
I have an LD4B that I was thinking about putting on a 340 but I'm sticking with my new Victor Jr. single plane for the 408".

I think you are right about that.  Far as I know though the aluminum highrise that Mopar installed on the 340 had a Mopar part number and a Pentastar cast into it instead of "Edelbrock LD340".  Not sure if that "upgrade" was compatable with an A/C car though.

I 've had a couple LD4B 's that had part no. and some did not.The frt. runner are just the opposite on the 4B and LD for some reason could be for ac?

Here's an LD4B. It has the Edelbrock PN# cast on it.
