GF7 Ivy Metallic or GF3 Amber Sherwood - picture request
« on: September 12, 2007 - 11:42:20 AM »
anyone have any pics of Ivy(GF7) 1971 Challengers? how about the lighter color known as Amber Sherwood in Plymouth (GF3)?

mine should be Ivy, but im partial to that Amber Sherwood 'Cuda in the Cuda/Challenger book, you know the car on the pages before the Orange Rallye Challenger.

Hi Wally426, 'Ivy' is a '70 only color and the code is EF8, in '71 it was changed to a slightly lighter shade renamed 'Sherwood Green' and the code is GF7.  In '71 'Amber Sherwood' code GF3 replaced the '70 color of 'Light Green Metallic' code FF4.  I'll see if I can did up some pics for you.

you're right. i know there's a little dif between the plymouth/dodge names as well. thanks!! im just trying to get an idea. i like my B5. but down the road i will give the car a make over and im wondering if i should go closer to factory. surely, NOT from a resale point of view!! Im just seeing how i like the color on a car.

:nono:I could be standing on a street corner with nothing and that car will be sitting safely in my name somewhere..

off subject.. about those pics !!! :woo:

Awesome, this is exactly what i was looking for. anyone feel free to keep 'em comin'. and that EF7 car is exactly what my car should llok like, add belt molding and a flat hood. although, when i got the car it was painted bronze/ rootbeer.

I dig that Amber Sherwood '70

Yep, I'm from PA. I remember. Some how, I always end up helping people clean there cars. My friends ,I go to shows with around here always get on me about all the cleaning supplies in my trunk. But they always end up borrowing stuff.  :dunno:

I'm not up on the exact paint codes, but these look close too
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....
