I've just replaced my OEM starter with a Powermaster Hi-torque minstarter. The problem is that it's hitting the headers. So I was wondering if the heat from the headers will kill the starter. As there is no heat shield on starter (as the headers so tight to the starter). If yes, I'll have to modify the headers.

Will it kill the starter fast or slowly. As I'm thinking of getting new headers

PDQ. I would at least ding the header to give some sort of air gap, if the primary or collector is actually touching the starter I do not think your starter has long to live.

The mini-starter is much shorter than the original, but a tad wider.

I made a dent in my header tube to get clearance. I did not use a heat shield. In over 3+ years, I've had no problems. It starts fast even when hot.

Yes it's touching the header.
Guess I'll have to make a bigger dent in header tube to get some clearance and add the heater shield I bought.

MEk what did you use to dent the header. Tried with a hammer, and it didn't work for me

My headers were 16 gauge steel, so try a bigger hammer.

If you can get a torch in there, heat up the area you want to dent. Heat it up until it gets cherry red, then tap it with a small hammer. It should dent easily with heat applied......

Use a ball peen hammer to get a nice curved dent and if you can fit it in put some insulation pad to absorb a lot of the heat.
