Mopar day at New England Dragway
« on: September 16, 2007 - 06:46:37 PM »
Now before you post
 :useless:
my digital camera crapped out yesterday so I didn`t get any.  :walkaway:
Great day though and pefect weather in the mid 60`s.Showed the `69 and got a few nibbles on it but no buyer yet.Raced the `72 and went four rounds with a best of 13.53 @ 100 mph but dialed 13.65 and hooked too good and broke out.Nice turnout for both the show and racing. The Dayclona crew were there with thier wing cars and GTX `vert all lined up-pretty impressive group of cars!Hardluck award goes to an all wheel drive Hemi Magnum that lunched it`s transfer case at the line-and he had NewYork plates on it!

Sounds like a day of fun....    :burnout:    13:53 was a great time, too bad it was too fast. Bracket racing is fun while being frustrating at the same time.  I still think it is the fairest form for the average racer......     :cooldancing:

Well , sounds like you had a pretty good outing going 4 rounds. Going to fast , well that part of racing. Traction , Air , and other factors. Like I said before just get out and get alot of seat time and your day will come. On the bright side it did go much faster that a couple of hundreds..
There is always next week, just keep plugging at it..

Been racing the cuda for ten years now on street nights, nostagia days and of course Mopar day.I`ve had two wins on street nights-one with the 727 and one with the four speed but I really want that win on Mopar day in the street tire class. That fourth round was down to seven cars-oh well there`s always next year.   :burnout:    :2thumbs:
