440 auto trans????

i was talking to a guy the other day and he said he had a trans that came out of a 440 motor home but not sure what year...i haven't looked at it yet so i don't know if it has the bolt on yoke... will it have the heavy duty internals that i would need for a strong hemi. he is ask 150 or so..

I haven`t had one apart but I would have to think they would use the heavy internals in a motorhome app !!

the A518 are only small block..or the factory trucks are.

plus a 518 wouldn't hold up to a 440 at all.......and they stopped making 440s before they came out with a 518 i think i could be wrong i guess

The 518 can handle heaps, I know a guy running a Dakota with 500RHP.
But I didn't know they stopped making them  :)
